THE COST OF PURSUING
August 10, 2020
Anything worth having, is worth pursuing. I have pursued some of good things in life. I have also gone after things I had no business pursuing. One thing they both had in common was it cost me. Whether it was time, peace, money, or focus...it COST. When I made the decision to go after those things, I was placing the charges for those bills on auto-pay! Unfortunately, we usually reconcile our accounting at the end. What I exchanged for what I pursued...was it worth it? What was added to me? Or did I find myself bankrupt at the end? As time has slowed down for many of us, what are you willing to exchange for success? We enjoy eating fruit but it costs the seed its life in order for us to enjoy it. Read a book. Learn a new skill. Write out your plans for the next 3 years. Balance your pursuit of entertainment with edification. Don't write a check with your pursuit, that your spirit, soul, and body can't cash. Honor the time you have by finding purpose in it. The harder the grind, the bigger the payout in the end. It will be worth it!
